Onde-Onde cake / Palm sugar coconut cake

Hello everybody, onde-onde is a traditional nyoya dessert in Malaysia. This is a Pandan Cake, using gula Melacca (Palm sugar) and shredded coconut as a filling. Hope you all love this.


This recipes make a 6 inch cake.

Ingredients:

Pandan sponge cake

Eggs 2 pieces

sugar. 30g (For egg yolk)

Sugar. 30g (For egg whites)

Cake flour. 70g

unsalted butter. 20g

Pandan milk. 28g

pandan paste. 1/4 teaspoon


Pandan milk

milk. 100ml

Pandan leaves. 30g

Shredded coconut

Fresh Shredded coconut 100g

Gula Melacca/ Palm sugar 150g

water. 60g

pandan leave. 1 piece

Salt. A pinch


Decoration

Pandan leaves. 1 piece

Dry desiccated coconut. 100g
